MATADOR AND CARRYOLOGY UNVEIL THIRD COLLAB RELEASE: THE EDX ULTRA SERIES

BOULDER, Colo. (July 30, 2025) – The latest evolution of the coveted EDX collaboration has arrived, bringing together Matador Travel Equipment, the award-winning producer of high-performing travel gear, and Carryology, the leading platform dedicated to exploring, inspiring and celebrating the world of carry. Introducing the EDX Ultra™ Series - a limited release of three iconic silhouettes: the Backpack, Messenger and Sling. This trio represents the apex of material innovation and design collaboration, designed for everyday carry and maximum packability.
“This is the third collection we’ve released in collaboration with Carryology, and it’s our most advanced yet,” said Chris Clearman, founder and CEO of Matador. “Creating world-class travel equipment takes true dedication to craftsmanship and a commitment to pushing boundaries of materials and design. That expertise is on full display with the EDX Ultra Series. This line gets better every year, and it’s a joy to see how deep collaboration can lead to truly exceptional products.”
The three EDX Ultra pieces can be purchased individually or together as a set of three (MSRP: $600). All three bags feature Challenge® Ultra 200TX fabric, a woven UHMWPE composite built for serious tear and abrasion resistance. The collection also totes HydraGuard® weatherproof seam binding with non-wicking thread and Toray Ultrasuede® luxury handle wraps, drawing inspiration from the cabins of high-end supercars for an ultra-refined carry. Additional features include YKK Sealing Zippers, magnetic hardware, and the same organization, sharp profiles and uncompromising details consumers already know and love. Each piece collapses completely flat or stows in the included storage bag when it’s time to tuck it away.
