From Lift Lines to Bylines with Mountain Collective Ski Pass

Skier in action on snowy slope with trees, under a clear blue sky.

Every fall, Mountain Collective, a ski pass with access to 27 resorts around the world, has a tight window to brief press before the snow flies. This is a busy time for ski media, who are inundated with pre-season pitches. What they rarely get is direct, candid access to the people who run the mountains. Our strategy of bringing GMs to the table changes the dynamic: conversations shift from talking points to shared passion and useful context that carry into stories all winter.

Instead of over-programming, we designed a fun, approachable evening that made it easy for media to connect with resort leaders, ask smart questions, and leave with tangible value and a clear view of what’s new across the Collective.

  • Secured a central NYC venue to maximize convenience for both press and resort reps.
  • Made the GM access explicit in the invitation.
  • Included a complimentary Mountain Collective Pass ($700+ value) to reward attendance and encourage on-mountain reporting.
  • Hosted a short, soft “panel” to give context about what to get excited about this winter, followed by open conversation.

Overall, we hosted more than 40 resort GMs and reps, 20 journalists, and facilitators to make introductions and keep conversations flowing.
